I remember this used to be a joke, in part because it also recommended vi if you googled emacs. But is it seen differently now that Google is a bit less of the geek brand it used to be? Are any user-facing Google jokes really landing the same way? IOW, is Google Search seen as more of a utility now, and is therefore giving the wrong answer, and even a competitor's answer (so to speak) seen as an unwelcome annoyance, a risk, danger, or even heavy-handed or menacing?
