Given that they're going to be making substantial (and long-needed) changes to Twitter's architecture anyway, I'm not sure that the existing staff has a lot more value than hiring afresh. New features will need to take into account the new architectures. New hires would also help the company shed people with the arrogant, entitled attitude of every Twitter employee I've ever met (with the exception of Musk).
- wreath 4y agoRearchitecting without knowledge of the existing architecture and why things are designed the way they are is a recipe for disaster and i known it first hand.
