This was not for want of trying to find Rust devs — they just aren’t out there. As an experienced Rust dev, I had the opposite problem. I looked for a good Rust job, but couldn't find one. Took an Elixir job instead. I also don't get the complaint about lack of productivity. I've worked in a dozen languages, and Rust is still the most productive language for me by far. I feel like they're speaking from inexperience here. I'm slow whenever I start a new language too, and Rust was no exception. Keep at it, however, and it'll pay off in the long run.
