Good to know that MIT has their hands deep enough in China's pockets that they are writing pieces promoting the social credit system. Really gross.

Really gross.
- yorwba 4y agoI think it's a well-researched and reasonably accurate article. Is there anything in particular that you think is incorrect?
- anm89 4y agoI could write an academic paper on how to improve nazi gas chamber efficiency and how well researched or reasonably accurate it was wouldn't exactly be the problem. Ironically, because I'm sure I'll be called hyperbolic, China literally has concentration camps right now which benefit from the social credit score system.
- yorwba 4y agoSo far, "social credit" hasn't been very efficient or even operational ("back in 2014, the plan was to have a national system tracking all “social credit” ready by 2020. Now it’s almost 2023, and the long-anticipated legal framework for the system was just released in the November 2022 draft law.") and the article doesn't offer recommendations on how to improve that, so I don't get your "how to improve nazi gas chamber efficiency" comparison. Is there actually any concrete way in which the social credit score system is benefiting concentration camps?
