Does anyone know of similar libraries for other programming languages? (in particular, python, c#).
I realize c++ is a good choice for performance reasons, but the hobbyist in me is already committed to Unity/Godot.
(regardless, I really appreciate the user manual in this library. Having an explanation of the algorithms (not just an implementation) really helps.)
- Cynox 4y agoSeveral years ago I used FEniCS mshr which wraps CGAL for Python, but I am unsure if is still maintained or if they went for a Gmsh wrapper instead, or abandoned the idea of constructive solid geometry from Python code completely. I have not followed FEniCS closely in the last few years.
- snowAbstraction 4y agoI've seen that there are Python wrappers for some of CGAL https://github.com/sciencectn/cgal-bindings https://github.com/sciencectn/cgal-bindings but I haven't used them.
- amoral 4y agoThere are also "official" ones there: https://github.com/CGAL/cgal-swig-bindings https://github.com/CGAL/cgal-swig-bindings. It does not cover all components, but is performed on a "when there are enough requests for it" basis.
