i just want to be able to use udp without the headache of webrtc
- superkuh 4y agoWebrtc websockets implementations (and spec!) are corrupted too. They require TLS even for localhost. But at least you can still use self-signed certs so it's not as bad as HTTP/3. It's kind of crazy to think that smartphones' inability to hold open a TCP connection (and thus the desire for UDP) are managing to ruin the entire (non-commercial) web.
- plopz 4y agomy desire for udp is for out-of-order delivery for low latency game networking, nothing to do with smartphones
