How would you introduce programming, from scratch?
- martyalain 4y ago... So I concocted another approach, starting from a foundation as small as possible and defining a small set of bricks with which to build the data and control structures common to all languages, which will always serve as a guide in their learning. You will forget lambdatalk, the language that accompanies me in this journey, but you will keep in mind some of the essential concepts that underlie the act of coding. At least I hope so. And if you are allergic to the "horizontal" format, in columns, click on the red "vertical" button at the top right of the screen.
- tony-allan 4y agoI want to create my own version using these concepts also starting from a small foundation
- martyalain 4y agoYou can: http://lambdaway.free.fr/lambdawalks/?view=download http://lambdaway.free.fr/lambdawalks/?view=download it's free and easy.
- inphovore 4y agoSolve some immediate challenges. A game, an interactive story board, or a practical tool for data interaction. Input data, list that data, sort that data, modify and save that data.
- martyalain 4y agoDone for instance in - http://lambdaway.free.fr/lambdawalks/?view=Lsort http://lambdaway.free.fr/lambdawalks/?view=Lsort - http://lambdaway.free.fr/lambdawalks/?view=fft http://lambdaway.free.fr/lambdawalks/?view=fft - http://lambdaway.free.fr/lambdawalks/?view=tablesort http://lambdaway.free.fr/lambdawalks/?view=tablesort I gave these examples as useful tools at the end of the document amongst others. My concerns are elsewhere, as you can see by looking at the wiki page.
