Saturday night I ordered a Tempranillo and my wife ordered a Cabernet Sauvignon, I knew the glasses had been switched by smell.
I can usually tell the difference between a $10 bottle of wine and a $30 (CDN). If I couldn't, I would buy the $10 wine by the case. I would unlikely be able to tell a $30 cab from a $100 cab and would probably prefer the $30 one.
I don't think I am unusual or extraordinary in this sense.
