Some have talked about this being the ultimate goal for Musk and his tech buddies. A repeat of the 80s style of acquiring a company, stripping it down and turning it around for a quick profit which reduced any power left from the employees.
So far that hasn't happened with tech and tech workers have had a unique position that others have not had in a long time. This Twitter saga might be a proof of concept of how many tech companies can be stripped bare (if it succeeds at Twitter)
I hate to think about it but from my point of view it seems as if I should be rooting for Twitter to catastrophically fail so that the tech elitists who are trying to make this a thing will have to go back to the drawing board for now.
