I've used Proxmox before for running a Windows VM for gaming inside a Linux/Proxmox self-hosted server, so I could have everything I needed on one machine, software apps as well as games. Unfortunately, games started implementing anti-cheat so I stopped using Proxmox, booted into raw Windows 11 and migrated to a PaaS online for my software apps. This software Looking Glass was great when I used it though. > "Looking Glass: Run a Windows VM on Linux in a Window with Native Performance" discussed on HN: https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=27870399 https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=27870399 https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=22907306 https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=22907306 --- I also used Proxmox to run macOS as its own VM, a Hackintosh basically.
