Personally, I find the "Stargazers over time" graph on the README to be a massive turn off. Why are so many people obsessed about Github stars.
- ethanbond 4y agoProbably because it's one of the few positive signals you get back as an OSS contributor. Seems to me most other feedback they get is complaining and whining, often about things that are extremely peripheral to the core work they're putting out into the world.
