Agree, something like the nRF52832 with Nordic Semiconductor's BLE DFU would be awesome. This isn't a trivial change though (new PCB spin, lots of sofware porting). Additionally, the MCU he's already using comes with an LCD driver. AFAIK, small MCUs with a usable BLE stack + LCD driver are far and few between. You could add a dedicated slave driver for the LCD, but again, this is a bunch of work. I'd love to see this happen though!
