I stopped taking it in any form a few months ago, and stopped with Adderall too right before the shortage. Unless you have some kind of chronic pain or have cancer and it's marijuana vs opioids, it is more for personal entertainment than anything else. California confirmed it as more of a means of entertainment similar to, but still possibly less dangerous than, alcohol by making it legal for retail sale on the state level a few years back.

There is no "confirmation" one way or the other of it being anything other than something that a majority of the voters in california wanting to do it recreationally.
