It is for that reason why online meeting tools like Zoom, MS Teams, etc., should provide an option to hide your own video from yourself – I believe one’s own video is a massive source of distraction from concentrating on other persons in a conversation.
- stevage 4y agoMost of them do? Certainly Zoom does.
- khazhoux 4y agoTeams does not. So annoying... I can't stop from looking at myself talking.
- marginalien 4y agoSame here. From time to time I observe where other meeting participants look at and I feel like this is very, very common (you can tell by the specific corner a person is looking at in some of these applications)
- pests 4y agoIn the apps that allow it I just move myself under the camera on my laptop so it looks like I'm just looking into the camera. Or I hope that's what people think!
