It takes out a lot of the fear and unsecurity from meeting with strangers in an urban environment where a community isn't there to help and guide like before. I was somewhat clumsy in date talks earlier in life, but still, besides my future wife I got to know a whole lot of interesting and fun people, some of whom became best friends.

Exactly! Also, men have it beat in them by now that approaching women in public is seen as creepy and now all of a sudden we want them to start doing it? There is no magical answer, everyone should try different things and see what works for them.

True. The article could have been published 10 years ago without a change. Same complaints since online dating emerged.
