Fwiw it's worth I kinda like that petroleum stank fake truffle flavour. I don't think that when I had that on a pizza costing 20 dollars that I was getting some kind of a deal on whatever "real" truffles are. It's annoying when people market A as B, of course, but on the other hand I get the impression that what a lot of people really like about truffles is that they are expensive and rare, not what they taste like.
