I've had some success converting spreadsheets to web calculators with Knockout.js, which is very old, probably not maintained anymore, but very easy (no build step) to use and reactive.
That said, to convert spreadsheet formulas (which often depend one from another) look for something reactive. Svelte might be a good choice if you can figure out its model of reactivity.
- benbristow 4y agoLast commit was the end of last year - it's pretty much all but dead. I'd recommend Vue or Svelte if looking for something similar.
- tga 4y agoVue is similar because you can add it to a page and have the entire app asap single file, editable inline. With Svelte you need a build step, and can’t change the app without setting that up first.
- benbristow 4y agoIt’s rather unavoidable nowadays to build webapps without a build pipeline of sorts. Certainly you can achieve it but I’d argue it’s more work to avoid build tools than to adopt one.
