Ask HN: What‘s the most basic, objective news site/aggregator?
I am done with too biased news (US, Canada, Germany). I would still like to get updated, once a day, on major „news“ or events.
Is Reuters the place to ho? I would like a HN style news site, sans the comments. Just so I know major developments.

- photochemsyn 4y agoSomeone on HN recently pointed to News as Facts (global aggregator) and it's pretty solid IMO: https://newsasfacts.com/ https://newsasfacts.com/ There are some fairly quality regional aggregators, for California for example: https://www.rtumble.com/ https://www.rtumble.com/

- qwnp 4y agoPerhaps not specifically what you're looking for, but I've always found Wikipedia's current events portal to be a good source for info on major events. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Portal:Current_events https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Portal:Current_events
- alxmng 4y agoI subscribe to Financial Times for general news, and I read it in an RSS reader (https://sumi.news https://sumi.news) which also aggregates updates from other sites I'm interested in (like HN).
