My question is, can DFU be used to discover the ability to upgrade/retrieve firmware images -- in arbitrary USB devices? I'm guessing (but not knowing!) that it could possibly do that... If so, then it makes DFU interesting from a "hardware capability discovery" perspective, much like 'lspci', 'lshw', etc., etc.
