How bad a Twitter mega-breach would be
- cratermoon 4y agoActual headline is "Here’s How Bad a Twitter Mega-Breach Would Be"
- smt88 4y ago@dang: This is a great example of how auto-removing “How…” harms headlines more than it ever helps. It seems well past time to rethink this policy.
- Kon-Peki 4y agoTo be perfectly honest, I thought someone was writing a Yoda-style title. The article was quite the let down, given the expectations.
- dredmorbius 4y agoIt's much more effective to email hn@ycombinator.com (I've done so for this submission. No matter how much I like the Yodafied title.)
- dang 4y agoFixed it now is.
- dredmorbius 4y agoBlessed you are.
- dang 4y agoI agree that it's a great example because the software stripped leading "Here's" and then leading "How" and ended up falling on its face. But you're overgeneralizing when you say: > harms headlines more than it ever helps. People make that claim because they (a) notice the cases when it fails and (b) don't notice the cases when it works. You can refute any policy that way!
