Just one day ago I heard from a UK friend about how they had their belongings stolen on a public bus and were humiliated by other riders for appearing feminine (including being laughed at by bystanders) (and they were not even being openly trans). I don't think that this community needs to be made more vulnerable right now. Maybe it has obnoxious ideologues, many groups do, but for every one of those there are thousands of invisible, quiet people getting hurt because people think it's ok to publically hurt them.
