Why I did not sign up for hardcore Twitter 2.0
- npn 4y agoI'm sorry but who is this guy and why should we care?
- sn0w_crash 4y agoHe received paychecks from Twitter which automatically makes him a hero on HN.
- fortyseven 4y agoAnd you are? And who am I? What an empty thing to say.
- lost_tourist 4y agoYou need someone to be famous in order to listen to their story?
- npn 4y agoNot famous, but should be relevant. Otherwise it doesn't mean anything at all.

- codingdave 4y agoI don't think anyone is wondering why people left - I'm more curious why some people chose to stay.
- lost_tourist 4y agoKeeping h1b sponsorship is likely one big one. I hope the government entity that watches over compliance with that status makes sure the Musk doesn't abuse their situation :(
- conanbatt 4y agoThe h1b requirement is the abusive situation
- npn 4y agothe competent 10%? just joking, bootstrap aside the only thing I remember about Twitter engineers was the "happiness" password incident and several similar cases. Competent may be a stretch.
- cyanydeez 4y agoGuess that's why elons now head competent
- jnwatson 4y agoThe desperate stay.
- prirun 4y agoPeople with medical issues who can't afford to be without insurance.
- bmm6o 4y agoThis gets to the wildest thing about the Musk's "go hardcore or leave" email. There was no indication of what people were going hardcore for. It was all about how hard the road was, but no talk about the reward or the goal or the destination. And if your recommit or quit email is so poorly thought out, it doesn't bode well for whatever "vision" eventually follows.
- jrjarrett 4y ago>Would you sacrifice time with your kids over the holidays for vague assurances and the opportunity to make a rich person richer or would you take the out? This quote right here says it all.
