When has the FTC ever levied a fine that put someone out of business for an internet privacy related consent decree? I don't think it's ever happened.

- DimitriPetrova 4y agoTwitter was fined $765 million in 2021. Not sure by what organization.
- edmundsauto 4y agoFacebook was fined $5 billion dollars in 2019-ish, that would put most companies out of business. If Twitter doesn't have people actively working to keep up with new privacy directives in every jurisdiction they are in (every country in the world, every region/state in each country has different requirements), they will get hit with fines all day every day.
