- bitcharmer 4y agoI have no degree at all and my job is pretty advanced research and implementation of ultra low-latency software execution stack in a major market maker. What's your point?
- gigel82 4y agolying is the point, innit?
- vkou 4y agoDid you lie about not having a degree when you were applying for jobs? The implication is that EM did.
- spaceman_2020 4y agoThe point is that all of tech has now collectively decided that Elon Musk is a "phony" and "not that smart". Apparently there was a memo sent to everyone in tech that they have to completely discount his work at Tesla and SpaceX and only evaluate him based on his tweets. I feel like I'm living in bizarro world where overnight, Elon Musk became a dumbass - at least in the eyes of the tech industry.
- pjc50 4y agoIf he doesn't want to be evaluated as a dumbass, he can simply stop making dumbass tweets.
- spaceman_2020 4y agoIf you were smart, you'd understand that the twitter persona serves a business purpose. I reckon you also think the Kardashian family is "dumb" because of their public persona.
- bicijay 4y agoThat brings another question... Couldnt you you be dumb and rich?
- spaceman_2020 4y agoOutside of people who blindly lucked into something, I can’t think of anyone stupid who actually built a long-term, sustainable business where they had to juggle multiple duties.
- nikau 4y ago"his work" at telsa and spacex is securing funding, its the engineers there that achieve things despite musk. It will be interesting to see how things go now the free money tap is turned off for the casino stock market
- spaceman_2020 4y agowhich would make him a business genius. That's also a genius, just of another kind. Absurd to suggest that it was just luck or grift that helped him make multiple $100B companies.
