What does it tell about our economy when a value creating company has to declare layoffs whereas the ad-companies are still untouched?

  I can only think of one one major tech ad company that's _so far_ untouched.

  FYI: Amazon has a large and growing ads business. It's actually one of the bright spots at the company.
