I like the context, but I think a better caveat is "so far". Its like nuclear war. Nukes have only been used twice. So far. And just like investing, past performance is no guarantee of future results. So, while I hope to be proven wrong, I'd be surprised if we make it another hundred years without a draft or the nukes counter getting incremented.
