I’m still surprised that in the year 2022 people still pay enough money for certs that CAs manage to exist providing SSL certs. EV and OV is effectively dead (and was never a good idea anyways), so who exactly is paying for their certs?
- bombcar 4y agoLots and lots and lots of systems are not setup to handle Let's Encrypt auto-renewing certs, and so people keep plugging away with the ones they've always been using. Dropping them down to one year duration may help push people towards LE and friends.
