- lostlogin 4y agoThis was the key bit fore me: Toyota says you’ll get 50 percent more all-electric driving range compared to the last Prius Prime, which should mean around 37 miles of zero-emissions driving with a fully-charged battery. I wish Toyota would lift its plug in electric game.
- ianai 4y agoMy RAV4 prime can get about 20% more electric range than stated given the proper weather/tire conditions. 37 miles might be more useful than expected for certain commutes. Other wise, it’d be a whole lot more useful if my prime got about 2x its electric range. It’s not perfect but the combo does cut my gas usage down vastly.
- dontlaugh 4y agoThat seems pretty bad. My old small diesel car gets 60 mpg, admittedly at much more sedate performance.
- _hypx 4y agoWorth noting that diesel has ~10% higher energy density.
