This fatalistic attitude leads to the sad conclusion that nobody should ever express new ideas for fear they might be misused. Or maybe you can express new ideas only after you have conclusively proven that they can’t be misused. So… never. Having an idea and suppressing it for fear of it being misused also doesn’t prevent anyone else from having the same idea. So what have you actually accomplished besides depriving yourself of your own ideas? Delaying the inevitable?
