It's doable, but it requires that production capacity has been overbuilt and turns all the roles at the foundry into seasonal work.
- ajross 4y agoHeavy industry is extremely seasonal already, though. And in fact highly variable in a bunch of other ways. Existing facilities are already only sporadically used, no one runs metal casting 24:7.
- zardo 4y agoNot having a night shift is a very different thing than not having a winter shift.
