One of the payloads that was meant to fly on Artemis-1 will be hitching a ride with my launch in a few days: https://spacenews.com/japanese-lunar-lander-with-nasa-rideshare-to-launch-this-month/ https://spacenews.com/japanese-lunar-lander-with-nasa-ridesh...
We will get it to the Moon a bit slower than Artemis, but it will get there.
- krasin 4y agoGood luck with your launch and the mission. Is there a way for us to follow it?
- cuSetanta 4y agoispace as a company is not particularly good at publicising their work, which could be a cultural thing, as they are the only Japanese company I have worked for. But their LinkedIn will have updates as we apprach the launch (hopefully byt the end of this month): https://www.linkedin.com/company/ispace-inc https://www.linkedin.com/company/ispace-inc I will also be posting updates as things are happening on my LinkedIn, which is in my profile. Also, if you want to read more, these two blogs have a lot of cool information about our mission and the others involved in this "new space race": https://lunarbusinessreview.substack.com/ https://lunarbusinessreview.substack.com/ https://blog.jatan.space/ https://blog.jatan.space/
- krasin 4y agoThank you! And best of luck with the mission.
- gen3 4y agoHey, that's awesome! Do you know if there are plans to release the data publicly (or where I will find it when it does?)
- ops 4y ago(not the op, but I do have some insight here) At a minimum, CuSP data will be available via PySPEDAS: https://github.com/spedas/pyspedas https://github.com/spedas/pyspedas If you're interested in accessing science data from spacecraft, you should check it out!
- cuSetanta 4y agoI haven't heard much discussion about any data being released from us or our payloads. Since it is a very commercialised mission I wouldn't expect too much, but if there is anything I will definitely share it here (if thats allowed).
- eointierney 4y agoI love the almost casual awesomeness of people on hn. Thank you all in general and cuSetanta right now
- cuSetanta 4y agoI am continuously amazed by the work of the people on this website. Especially as a hands-on type person who does horrendously ugly coding to get things done. I mostly like how many different projects and tools I learn from the people here.
- petesergeant 4y ago>> my launch https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ispace_(Japanese_company) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ispace_(Japanese_company) > Hakuto-R Mission 1 will include a lunar lander that is now scheduled for launch aboard a Falcon 9 Block 5 launch vehicle in November 2022 ALSO: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Emirates_Lunar_Mission https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Emirates_Lunar_Mission is interesting to me
