Dictionary or brute force? If it's brute force that's astounding.

  Dictionary. A massive dictionary, though. Biggest one I could find, which was 17gb.

    17gb uncompressed? That's only 2 billion 8-character password. Is your password that bad or did it have some really good mangling going on. There are 100,000 alphanumeric (including caps) 8-character passwords.

      Let's just say "my" password was that bad. Still 13 characters though.
