So hydrogen isn't popular in cars because of some conspiracy theory, and not the blatantly obvious fact that it takes much more electricity to separate hydrogen from water, super-cool that hydrogen for transport, and turn that hydrogen back to electricity in a fuel cell, than to just transmit the electricity to a battery.
- bamboozled 4y agoDoes it need to be a conspiracy theory though ? I don’t think it’s required. I mean smoking is bad for people, smoking is good ads happened but it want a conspiracy ?
- TheLoafOfBread 4y agoNo conspiracy, hydrogen is slowly getting acceptance because people can't charge their BEVs at home (50% of people in EU lives in apartments) and does not want to wait hours in a queue for public DC chargers. Simply hydrogen will more expensive, but convenient. And people LOVES to pay for convenience. Just look at Apple.
- legulere 4y agoThe easier solution for this is PV roofs for cars. People living apartments also have lower mobility needs.
- bamboozled 4y agoPeople in apartments often live in places where there isn't a lot of sun. Apartment >= 2 Floors, Building >= 2 Floors creates shade.
