Every Indian history textbook has had detailed overviews of the indus valley civilization ever since my parents were in school. (they’re in their late 60s). I think entire generations of Indians (and presumably Pakistanis) know of this city / civilization. Hardly “lost”, if lost means people haven’t heard of it.
