Back in 2014 I was doing music production semi-professionaly for almost a decade. I tried out a brand new pair of headphones, and after an evening of listening to loud music with them, I put them down and heard a continuous blip. I got (probably lifelong) tinnitus and hyperacusis that day and it never went fully away. I basically stopped a passion I had since being a teenager because of this injury. Be careful with your ears, folks.
