Suspended from Twitter and Facebook
My startup's Twitter and Facebook accounts were suspended.
I created a Twitter account for my startup 2-weeks before Twitter's acquisition. I only ever edited the account's name and bio.
As of a few days ago: The account is now in limbo and says, "your account is suspended and not able to perform this action" when refreshing the page or trying to tweet or edit settings.
And, If that wasn't enough of a headache.
My startup company's Facebook account was also "permanently suspended" shortly after creating a Facebook Business Ad Account. I don't have a personal Facebook, so I was required to create one; I did so using my company email and then made a Business Ad Account off of that.
I was able to lift the suspension on my personal account by uploading a photocopy of my ID. However, the suspension on the company's Facebook account is still active. Automated emails from Facebook say to expect a response in 48 hours, but I have been waiting to hear back for a week.
And, if that wasn't enough of a headache.
I have a signed agreement with the local news to advertise my company/product towards the end of November.
This is a disaster.

- dools 4y agoI don’t have any advice to help you fix the problem but I just wanted to reach out and say: everything is okay, you’re a good person, your company is great, and no matter what happens today or tomorrow you can get through it and live to fight another day.
- JetAlone 4y agoIn a way, surviving this experience can help OP grow as a person. I choose to think it serves as a reminder that the things in life that matter are not digital statuses within blind computer systems, but relationships with the people you can see and care for.
- _lusi 4y agoAppreciate you.
- elischleifer 4y agothe only way you are likely to expedite processing of any bans/robo-blocks is to know someone on the inside of these companies who can try to expedite a review on your account status. that itself is a non-trivial lift.
- rl1987 4y agoDo you really need FB and Twitter for marketing? I'm hearing that TikTok is far less saturated as a traffic channel. People say that this holds true both for organic and paid traffic.
- _lusi 4y agoI don't need Twitter for marketing, just Facebook. It's definitely going to be weird to have suspended social media during advertising. I might end up removing the links from the website Footer.
