I found the bit about looking for a technical way to have users upload a fingerprint with their own device interesting.
The only thing I could think of would be taking a picture of an old-fashion ink on paper fingerprint. But that's far from ideal.
- noobermin 4y agoWhat if you have fingerprint auth on your phone, couldn't you just upload that?
- rPlayer6554 4y agoI don't think it works that way. I'm not an Android or iPhone developer but I'm pretty sure the OS does not give the app access to the actual biometric data. Apple made a big deal about fingerprints and facial data being in their secure enclave I think.
