DVDs with 20s of ads not passable?

  Buy the DVD and then sail the high seas for a digital copy. You get both a better media experience and a physical backup if your hard drive dies. Edit: I also spend the extra money on a Criterion or Arrow release if it's available. These never have ads.

  VLC, and other FOSS DVD players, do not abide by do-not-skip flags.
