It would be great to better understand how this compares to RTOS and FreeRtos.
E.g., if one wanted to build a baremetal version of a small programming language, like minilisp or Forth, what would one like to use ?
I would like to understand where the various implementations of rtos have been used in a production settings, is this one stable enough to use ?
This rtos seems pretty small, but documentation seems mostly in Chinese, e.g.

Some code seems from older code bases:

It's hard for a person new to embedded RTOSes to judge the stability or capabilities of a project like this.
Overall, its great to see projects like this sprouting up!
- golem14 4y agoThere's a bunch of documentation (in english) at https://github.com/RT-Thread/rt-thread/blob/master/documentation https://github.com/RT-Thread/rt-thread/blob/master/documenta... One thing that stands out is that one of the selling points would be the inclusion of middleware etc. Internet of Things related software packages: Paho MQTT, WebClient, mongoose, WebTerminal, etc. Scripting language related software packages: JerryScript and MicroPython are currently supported. Multimedia related software packages: Openmv, mupdf. Tools packages: CmBacktrace, EasyFlash, EasyLogger, SystemView. System related software packages: RTGUI, Persimmon UI, lwext4, partition, SQLite, etc. That was surprising as I thought the key point was a small footprint. I haven'd dug in, a key point for me would be to create a minimal system, maybe just ethernet, wifi and bluetooth, and make those modular, so maybe just have a version with wifi only.
