I don't know - I've only had the machine a few weeks and haven't worried about battery life or details of sleep configuration at all. So far I'm mostly using it plugged in. I was surprised that closing the lid seems to sleep it properly, and opening it wakes it up. I've heard horror stories of trying to make that work on Linux.
