Can't it be cool on its own merit? Is it not, at least, good to normalize EVs as as good or better on all levels? Is it wrong to make an EV to be fast? I mean, take your reasoning one step farther- it would be better to have fewer cars, so who cares about anything that isn't a bus or a self-driving taxi? The only cars that should exist are the ones that can't be replaced with more efficient alternatives. For instance, cars purely for recreation, like racecars. Those cars should be made into EVs. Like this.
