- tianqi 4y agoI think this is a serious issue and most non-technical people underestimate the risk. The most severe case of this issue was the Edison Chen photo scandal in 2008(https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Edison_Chen_photo_scandal https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Edison_Chen_photo_scandal). When the Hong Kong superstar was having his computer repaired, the repairman recovered the deleted photos from the harddisk and later published them. This incident caused an earthquake through the entire Asian entertainment industry and devastatingly ended the careers of several superstars in one fell swoop.
