Feel you. I think it is useful to have some broader context but in the past 10 years, the products have evolved to a place where for me they are no longer helpful. I donate to local and public media because the work is nevertheless important to support but I consume almost none of the product. Sucks. That said, as a US-centered person, I recently found this factual email distillation, and do find it useful.
