To be honest, I read this article and it looks like a nothingburger. No evidence of anything illegal is actually presented, it all relies on "the government can pressure the company to release data." Nothing special about this, so does every other government. I guess when it's the military it makes sense to take precautions, but nevertheless this just seems like a way to make Americans afraid of the scary Russians.
