For sites like airbnb it's not possible for the story to be "not real". It's just a website guys, there is no per-unit costs that makes the economics not work out.
- BeetleB 4y agoAirbnb spends a lot for support, which doesn't scale (e.g. dispute resolution, etc). Not saying they provide good support, but they have to staff for it.
- arcturus17 4y agoBy that reasoning, all software plays must be profitable, but alas, zero marginal cost of distribution does not entail profitability.
