These are the people who in real life say “Jan” instead of “January.”
- cassianoleal 4y agoAt least that can usually be understood from context. Acronyms and initialisms usually cannot unless you already know them.
- killjoywashere 4y agoSounds like most conversations I had with cybersecurity people until I learned about NIST 800s, FIPS, CNSS, STIGs, etc.
- gardenhedge 4y agoThis wouldn't make me blink.. Jan, Feb.. but if someone just said Mar for March I'd blink twice.
- lapetitejort 4y agoHow about Thu for Thursday?
- ironmagma 4y agoApr for April :P
- ihatepython 4y agoAnd Jun for June?
- divan 4y agoAnd K instead of OK
- ARandomerDude 4y agoAnd “OK” instead of “I understand, thank you.”
- MonkeyClub 4y agoStill, “k” is infinitely better than a thumbs up.
- ovao 4y agoHmm, how so? A thumbs up is more bytes, and thus more poignant.
- fareesh 4y agoOK is oll korrect
- divan 4y agoNo, I'm talking specifically about case of reducing two letters to one.
- tingletech 4y agookay

- bloodyplonker22 4y agoI literally just had a PM tell me "we will talk about that 'tom'". It left me confused for a few seconds. Is it really that hard to use a couple more syllables?
- feet 4y ago"Who tf is Tom?"
- sn41 4y agoApache Tomcat, a casual acquaintance of the local tomboy.
- ineedasername 4y ago“My name is not Tom”
- hanche 4y agoPrime Minister of what country?
- marginalia_nu 4y agoKinda reminding me of when you're autocompleting commands in a shell prompt.
