I find it hard to believe someone with as much contempt in their language regularly hangs out with religious people. If you actually do, why?

  Did you read the article? 80% of country is religious. It's impossible to avoid religious people. I find it hard to believe someone with as much contempt in their language as Trump receives so much love and support from religious people. What would Jesus do/say? The opposite of Trump in most cases.

    edit: I think you edited your posting so that mine doesn't make as much sense, but whatever. is it really hard to believe? I think a lot of the preachings in a lot of religious institutions are quite weak, as in: just do as I say because God says so. Also: Ingroup vs. outgroup. As long as you are nice to the ingroup, everything goes. Granted, there is one story (as told by the preacher in church) that still sits with me nowadays about the woman who shared her only loaf of bread and by doing that was a better person than all the rich people who shared more but had not really anything to lose by it. Still words to live by.
