Good to know what any [wannabe] evil mastermind can now order a proper, comfortable submersible for a decent price and with a warranty from the manufacturer.
- r00fus 4y agoBad timing for the market, I suppose.
- AtomicOrbital 4y agoFolks buying these are not miffed by transient market wobbles
- wrp 4y agoWhat parts of the world have an undersea view interesting enough to make this worthwhile? Most of the places I can think of are not near where the super-rich like to hang out.
- Aspos 4y agoBeing able to evade tracking and disappear may be the biggest selling point for some.
- helloworld11 4y agoA surface speed of 9 knots and a submerged speed of 4 knots? This thing is hilariously slow. At 4 Knots, you could almost walk faster to any comparably distant terrestrial destination. The impracticality is obvious: taking the yacht away from any one sea or port to another (something you'd presumably want to do after spending tens of millions on a superyacht), would mean traveling for an absurdly, abnormally long time inside a sealed, limited space with no easy way to leave mid-journey. At least normal surface yachts have reasonably decent top speeds of 20+ knots.
- ahefner 4y agoThat's funny, my fantasy superyacht / submarine mashup lately has been of a submarine from which I could torpedo all the superyachts as they slink from port to port with their AIS transponders off.
- FooBarBizBazz 4y agoA good safety feature to deal with hurricanes?
