Why is it we never hear anyone decrying the 'awful gender imbalance' in Human Resources, Nursing and Teaching?
- dgabriel 15y agoBecause you're in technology. There are a number of organizations dedicated to increasing the number of men in nursing and teaching.
- tikhonj 15y agoBecause this is "Hacker" news so there is a very strong bias towards science and engineering. I imagine it might be different on a Nursing forum, but I've never seen one so I don't actually know.
- philwelch 15y agoBecause when women dominate the workplace, it's "The End of Men" (http://www.theatlantic.com/magazine/archive/2010/07/the-end-of-men/8135/ http://www.theatlantic.com/magazine/archive/2010/07/the-end-...) and reason for smug, thinly-veiled gloating. Also, men can't be teachers because we're all pedophiles.
