You can build Java straight in a jet brains ide. No build system needed.
- cratermoon 4y agoThis and the OP's experience reminds me of the world before build systems and automated build/deploy: But it works on my machine!
- tomjen3 4y agoIts java. As long as you make a fat jar it will work on that OS. Of course if you use this feature then the only difference it will make is that everybody has to use the jetbrains IDE.
- cratermoon 4y agoNot unless you also bundle a JVM and a bunch of other things. Crypto libraries, back in the bad old days of export controls, were a definite problem, and certificate management can still trip up Java.
